Ok there is a 83 rx7 4 sale near me the guy says the motor is worked to the balls he says the next step for this car is NOS. The body is in preaty good shape he is asking 1,799.00 so i called him and asked if he would want to trade for a 90 Cadilliac sedan deville in great condition he looked at it and said ok i still have to test drive it and see the milage but being the motor has been built up i dont know if that matters any info would be appreciated. this will be my fist time owning a rx7.

ask him to get a compression test done by a mazda dealer, if the numbers are good, ask for some money + your car..
is the 1st gen a gsl ? (rear disk brake and lsd ?)

He wont do the car +cash allready asked him he wants a straight up trade. and about the 1st gen a gsl ? (rear disk brake and lsd ?) i will find out tomorrow.

Hey guys just a heads up, I checked the car out to day and it had oil in the radiator and there was a lot of air pressure when i pulled out the oil dip stick sounded like a gun(POP) so i did not do the deal.

how much should this cost btw? and is there a way for the seller to prove that it has been done and is okay?

it cost us roughly 100$ at a mazda dealership, and they give a nice sheet with compression ratios when its done, ask for the sheet
