I have a 96 Grand Am 2.4L. I was driving when all my gauges suddenly stopped working. The engine was still running fine. The temp, rpm, speed, and gas gauges are not working. Three idiot lights are on. One is the temp overheating light (car did not overheat), one is the TRAC light, and one is the ETS off light (Which I find really strange because I do not have that option). I've checked the fuses and have disconnected the batter but nothing has helped. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: gauges not working (Instrument cluster dead??)
this one I know cuz I had the same problem with my 97 GA. Check all the grounds coming off the ECM. Mine started doing the same thing and after 3 weeks of troubleshooting I found a bad ground. Fixed that and then that fixed all the problems.
