supplies

Where do you guys get all of your supplies and kits from?
Don't just say hobbyshop I would like specifics. A website to order from would be helpful too. A place with all the stuff I need from epoxy to styrene to wheels and kits. Thanks. And I would like it to stay in North America.

Re: supplies

www.hlj.com, they have alot of stuff, but may not always been in stock which is a pain in the ass. try a search on google for model hobby suppliers. but, even though you told me not to, most people get their stuff from local hobby shops. if you have a hobbytown usa close by, they will order stuff in for you. they carry alot of tamiya models and all your putty and styrene needs. hope this helps you out.

These guys are excellent for supplies. http://www.hobbylinc.com/
I buy my kits at my LHS because I want to look at them close before plunking down my money.

In general, if your order is over $50, buying stuff from a website saves you money because cheaper prices + no sales tax > shipping charges.

Re: supplies

So you say hobbytown has most of this stuff? Why I said no hobbyshops is because I don't have any nearby. There is a hobbytown like 400 miles away and we only go to that town like once a year.
What other hobbyshops are there that supply like tamiya and stuff. Thanks

%75 of my supplies come from WALMART

%20 from any kind off grocery store or dollar store

%5 from hobbyshop

you dont have to order from halfway across the globe to make good models

I forgot to say that I get quite a few supplies by raiding my wife's kitchen - plastic containers, plastic bags (I use a plastic grocery bag as a "glove" on my hand when airbrushing), Future, ISA, Windex, distilled water, flannel polishing cloths, rubber bands, clothes pins, etc. I even pinched the plastic top off her vitamin bottle to replace the metal top on my Paasche 3oz paint bottle.
