taking care of dsms
alright i have a few questions. this is for a gsx or gst. what brand of timing belts do you guys like and what other parts do you replace when you replace your timingbelt. (ex. pullys etc.) also, when you ARE NOT racing, where do you like to keep your engine's rpms at?

Re: taking care of dsms
You should only use mitsu timing belts. Anything else is just too risky. The only other tbelt that is trusted is the blue extra strong version. Forget who makes it, but most DSM vendors are selling them. I have one on my car, we'll see how long it lasts, I have a habit of stretching belts. You should always replace the tensioner itself, the tensioner pulley, and the idler pulley. If you are keeping the balance shafts, be sure to do the bshaft belt and pulley also. If that goes, it takes out the main tbelt at least half of the time...
Wether or not I'm racing, I shift where the car will be fastest, if I'm trying to go fast

Re: taking care of dsms
powerwashing is fairly commin, but make sure all your electricals etc are FULLY COVERED cuz you ECU and fuses can take a hit.
