Altezza lights causing brake lights to stay on

Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with these altezza lights I purchased recently. At night when I have my lights on the brake lights stay on steady, even when I don't have the brake pedal depressed. I've had alot of people tell me they are bright to the point that I'm afraid it will cause a safety issue. My old tail lights worked fine. Should I try to troubleshoot the lights or just take them back and get another set? Any help would be appreciated.

You're situation is a little confusing. So is your 3rd/center brake light illuminated without depressing the pedal??? When you DO press the brake pedal do the lights get even brighter??? If so then it'd appear that the wattage is too high. See if you can't locate some dimmer bulbs.

No, my 3rd brake light is fine and only lights up when I depress the brake pedal. Nothing happens when I depress the brake pedal, the lights stay the same intensity on the altezzas.
