92 speedo fix

Read all sorts of post about the speedo problem, but didn't ever see a solution. Mine quits for a few miles and starts up again. Guages seem to work, but no speedo and no odometer. Doesn't seem like a cable issue as it's very intermitant (only twice in a couple months).

I assume it is the '92 caravan you have listed in your profile - I am uncertain what type of transmission you have but, it should not make a difference.
Your 'intermittent' problem can only be a few things:
1. The Speedometer gauge itself is bad
2. The cable has a loose connection at either the gauge or pinion drive
3. The pinion drive is bad
Do the easiest first! - locate the 'Speedometer Drive Assembly' connection on your Transaxle (pinion drive unit) and check it for a good connection. Then check the cable for any kinks or binds. Then check the back side of the gauge for a good connection.
If you have found no problem! then it can only be internal within those 3 components.

In certain that this will help!!!
