Damn more questions

OK for starters, I have an 89 ZC DOHC, if I bought parts from a 90 ZC would it fit the 89, also if I bought a fukt engine and completely rebuilt it, all new parts would it runas well as a new engine? and uh ya my car is really pissin me off, cuz a few days ago i was driving around and when i stopped and started it each time would take a lil longer to start, and i was driving fine and i slowed down to park in my driveway and it like stuttered and moved back and fourth and shut off, then i tried to start it and it wouldnt start, it would try to start up but wouldnt turn over, so i tried the spark plugs and all that, i even bought some new ones, but i put them in the right order, 1,3,4,2, and it starts but its laggin like i hold the gas completely all the way down, and the rpm's move sloooow as fuck, and same with 1'st gear, i tried to jump my battery but i think thats completely dead, cuz when its connected to the other car its still dyin, i have no idea what to check for, so if anyone could help me plz plz plz tell me what to do, i need help, lol. O ya and on my 91 hatch i cant stand the front bumper so would i have to do custom shit to fit on a 2000+ si bumper or just like a 92+ civic front bumper or would it fit on?

If you put the battery in another car to see if it was working and it was killing the other car then you've got a bad battery. Did you rev the other car when that battery was in it at all (try and recharge it that way)? If you did and still was dying then get a new battery and see if that fixes it.

Re: Damn more questions

And no you can't just put on another year bumper without modification; no lights (headlight or tail light), no front bumper, no rear bumper, no sideskirts; will fit your car without modification. Motor & ECU, center consoles, rims, some seats, brakes; are some of the few things that will swap in without heavy modification, you're stuck with what you've got. If you don't like the stuff you have then go aftermarket or jdm parts.

Re: Damn more questions

ight, well batteries not the problem, car worked for a lil, but it was laggin, RPM's go up slow, and i was goin sumware and it stalled and died, some people stopped, and some said it could be, the sensors, the distributor, or the alrm thats connected to the starter. Ya it wants to start but it just wont turn over.

i would first do a compression test, then i would take out each spark plug and smell for fuel, then i would check my timing

Re: Damn more questions

im not sure if i had the same problem as yours but here it is. i let my current car sit outside for about 4 monthes and not really driving it at all. when i tried to drive it, i would push the gas and it would sputter and then after 3k it would accelerate smoothly. but what the problem was was that the fuel was getting to the engine properly. i know you can buy something and pour it in your gas tank to clear the problem up but forgot what it is.

Re: Damn more questions

ya thats how it was acting, but now i bought a new dizzy cap, and the spark plugs smelled like fuile, but it runs, and i took off the antifreeze cap and all that shiut came out, and my engines heating up fast as hell, i took out the oil rod and smoke came out, and uh i put water in for the antifreeze for now, and uh ya it runs but just not like it used to
