My advice is don't bother fixing air ride unless you really really want it. It is expensive to fix and yet unreliable. For 500 dollars or so you can replace it all with regular coil over struts that provide just about as smooth a ride with added control. I did this to my 94 about 2 months ago in my driveway. Not a fun job but saved me about 1500 dollars.

Re: 92 lincoln air ride

Call strutmasters.com. Get the 4 wheel conversion and don't worry about that air suspension again. Only costs about 500 dollars.

Re: 92 lincoln air ride

I would not change the air ride if I were you..
you take out the air ride and all you have left is the shell of a lincoln my friend had change his air ride with the coil over struts and sold the car three weeks later he told me that the car does not ride the same and the back end still seats down to low

I wouldn't let that scare you away from the conversion kit. As in everything there are pros and cons. The conversion is an upgrade over old worn out air suspension. However, as every lincoln owner knows nothing compares to the ride quality of the air suspension when it is working correctly. To me the tie breaker is the cost of maintenance. The air suspension is over twice the cost of the conversion kit and is still subject to failure later on. If ride quality is your main concern and money is noooo object then stick with the ari suspension. If consistancy and peace of mind is more imprtant not to mention keeping your wallet a little heavier then get the conversion kit. Either way you go it is still an upgrade on old worn out suspension parts.
