Question Mercury pickup truck (?)

ive heard only two things about the supposed 'mercury pickup truck'. one is that mercury might add apickup truck to its lineup. the other is that it most likely be a version of the ford ranger crewcab. but since money is tight around lincoln/mercury, especially mercury, they might not even do it. since buick is more popular, mercury has to struggle in second. buick is more preferred in the entry luxury market. i see many more buick rondezvous' no the road than mercury mountaineer's. anybody heard anything else? comments?

Re: Mercury pickup truck (?)

I have not heard anything specific but after the Lincoln Blackwood debacle (low sales) they may not want to get into this.

BTW Canada had Mercury pick up trucks for many years back in the '50's and '60's.

Re: Mercury pickup truck (?)

mercury is not coming out with a new pickup but lincoln is coming out with a truck called the LT which is modeled after the new f-150 coming out in 2005-6
