95 1500 runs poorly when under strain

my truck has had a hesitation problem that after a short time turns into a choke all the way out prob changed dist, plugs, fuel filt, air filt, charcoal can, maps sens, coil, gas cap,run gas treatments, now doesn't show any codes but still has this prob,it has been intermittant. but now seems to be constant, after changing a component its runs ok, then when you think its fixed it starts again,it started as surging, then loses power on hills, then loses power period, when inspecting carb,it appears to be flooding out. it also seems to restart problem after taking a rough road,i checked vacuum lines also i am puzzled please advise asap the dist has been in a few months now had powdered carbon inside could thi be problem

try checking the EGR valve if it gets carbon caught in it and holds open the truck will surge and lope like it has a race cam in it.

thanks for advice I drilled a hole through the cat and then thru the blocked material sealed the hole runs better than ever (I could not afford to replace it) the test hole relieved back pressure And made a world of difference
