Unhappy dirt won't come off.. ><

Hi, Im new

Anywayz, i have a question regarding the dirt on the inside of my

door that won't rub off! Someone's shoe accidentally kicked

the bottom half of the door while getting off, and now there's a

shoe print. I don't know what to use in order to scrub it off... ..

Can someone suggest any ways or detergents that i can use?

Get brake parts cleaner at a auto store, put it on a rag and wipe or rub it off. It should come right off, and dont worry if you spray it on a rag it will not hurt your leather. How do you think they get grease off your seats at the dealer?

ahhh i would not use brake cleaner for your interior is the mark on vinyl or leather. try first some mild soap and water or get some multi purpose cleaners at the autopart store autoarmer sells one seems to work will on cleaning difficult stains

Lightbulb dirt wont come off

if on vynle mix some tide and water and wipe off also works great on carpets . tip from bmw dealer , keep your paint job looking new use johnson&johnsons baby shampoo. the mildest soap you can use, wont strip clear coat, but make sure you dry the car after to avoid water spots.

Brake parts cleaner cleans almost anything and everything. It cleans grease, dirt, marks like yours, grease/dirt on seats it is magic. You can use it on your interioir, how do you think they clean off some dirt on your interior at the dealer? Brake parts cleaner. No I am not psyco, I use it every day to clean marks out. You spray it on a rag and rub it off. Maybe you people think I dont know what Im talking about but you have never tryed it and you most likely dont know what brake parts cleaner is. So before you start saying things that will actually help him out are wrong maybe you should learn about it.
If you dont want to use brake parts cleaner try some window cleaner or windex.

Thumbs up dirt wont come off

brake cleaner should be used as a last resort not recomended if used on leather it will discolor and over a period of time it will dry out the leather try to use brake cleaner on non porous materials , good for gettitng tar off paint but imediatly wax the area of paint you treated. also can be used to get gum out of your carpets, again it should be used as a last resort cracked leather sucks. stick with mild detergents. keep yuor interior looking new.

Re: dirt won't come off.. ><

For what it's worth, I side with those opposed to using 'Brake Kleener' except as a last resort. WD40 is great stuff but the residue will need to be cleaned with soap..it attracts dust..but works well.
As far as dealers go, I've sorked in them for years and to be honest, for the most part, they just want you out the door as quick as possible AND 'Brake Kleener' does get marks OUT. One question would be why the marks get there, it is a profession after all.......well, it will get it clean but common sense tells you it has other effects. It's purpose is to DISSOLVE and EVAPOATE oils, grease, etc.. it will also 'pull' the 'natural' ones out of leather which won't be noticed 'til it's too late.

What's the "salt stain' on ? ? ? .....................jeffb.

Re: dirt won't come off.. ><

oh..ok..i'll try WD40, cuz today i asked about the brake cleaner thing, the mechanic was like.. no its only for brakes, ..so i didn't buy it. Today i tried other cleaners, and it still dun work. Its really irritating to see the shoe mark..-__-' sighz..i'll try WD40 i have it handy at home.... the salt stain, no i was just wondering if the brake cleaner would help taking salt stain off, cuz its been there for 2 years, I bought the car on this "buy back" thing from another person leasing the car. Thx for helping out! ^_^

Gah who do you people talk to. So called "mechanics" dont even know about brake cleaner. Sure its some harsh stuff and you might not want to use it on some things. But it cleans almost anything, except windows. It removes oil, brake fluid, grease, brake dust, ground in dirt on your floormats (I just cleaned a X-5 today with it) it even takes off the sticky crap left over from stickers and/ir tape. It doesnt smell to hot and sometiems you get a really good wiff of it and it makes you woozy for that second that you smell it. I always have it lying around to use. Its like the duck tape of the cleaning world.

Try "Simple Green". I use it to get the nasty stuff off of my boat and it seems to work well.
