are you going to be doing some seriouse racing? If your not then your just waisting your money unless you want that look. Under normal conditions and even taken her down the track now and then stock rotors work perfectly well. Nice ride by the way.

Re: slotted rotors got some questions

that's cool, most people get them for the look anyway. The only time it would help you would be in like a rally race or formula 1 type race or something. but they are damn sexy.

Re: slotted rotors got some questions

Whatever you do dont buy cheap shit off ebay. They are known for warping and taking out pads and not lasting at all when your doing serious braking.

you dont have to worry about this at all, if you get quality made rotors that are cross-drilled correctly they will not crack. when you apply the break, gases are produced by the break pad being heated and these gases get stuck inbetween the pad and the rotor causing poor braking. the slots allow this gas to escape and the pad makes better contact with the rotor...

Re: slotted rotors got some questions

Cross drilled rotors will crack unless you buy a set of Baer or the equivalent (Beware of companies that buy the standard bare Baer or Brembo Rotors and drill them themselves for resale and profit, they are junk). basically, if the rotors are less than $200/each they will crack..LOL...

Slotted rotors are a great improvement as well. I had Powerslots on my Z and the difference was awesome!

Re: slotted rotors got some questions

my personal take on this, is that they are ugly as hell, especially with skinny spoked wheels. i would only suggest the drilled and slotted rotors for people doing autocross and such, or drving 140mph on public highways, not that you should be doing that anyway
