Re: gsr vs SH

He would win, because you can't legally drive your car . It'd depend on who was the better driver. He's got around 20 (maybe more) hp than you but also weighs 300+lbs more. There's no way anyone could answer this question and be 100% correct. Wait till you get your license back, race him, then post it in the Street/track racing stories forum.

Re: gsr vs SH

I think it'd be a driver's race. Wait till you get your liscence back, then find out.

Re: gsr vs SH

It was probably a non-vtec one. Vtec ludes are a slight bit faster (bone stock) than gs-rs are.

Re: gsr vs SH

driver's race. mods r similar, 20hp vs.300lbs weight advantage. 1/4mile i cant say exactly. anything longer than 1/4 and prelude will start to pull...BTW when u race him, remember to take ur spare out(along with other little things), and run with about a half gallon left in tank. and if u have the chance, throw some paint cans, dumbbells, and bricks into his trunk.

Re: gsr vs SH

195@7000 is the hp torque wa 156 @--- on type sh prelude and the integra gsr 94 has 170.0 bhp @ 7600 rpm and 128.0 ft lbs @ 6200 rpm ..The q-mile times are gsr--1994 Acura Integra GS-R 7.1 15.5..On the sh prelude i found a few times but that was on 00 models and there was a 5hp difference i think but they were 15.3 or some shit done forgot oh well..So yea it would depend on driver but if it was me i think you would get him...later..edit yea i just noticed this was a old thread oh well done typed all of this fuck it..

Re: gsr vs SH

..hey guys...don't wanna start nothing...but I been on the market for a newer Car either a 3rd gen Teg or 5th Gen Lude maybe even again a 4th Gen Lude with a lot lower miles...anyways...I have come to think that the VTEC sounds and feels ALOT!!! STRONGER ON PRELUDE's...ex. I when to c two teggs last week both GSR's...bone stock (one had an intake) and a 5th Gen Lude BONE STOCK laddie driven (like most PRELUDE's) '97 by the way Tegg's had 101k and 76k Lude had 81k and well anyways while the cars R in park I hit the VTEC to actually c if the vtec is kicking it...rev both gsr well into the VTEC and heard LOUD SCREAMS!! but no where near my '94 Prelude VTEC SCREAM or the '97 Prelude (stick) rev them lil pass 7 and OMG that car just scream like it was about to KILL!! and no B/S gas peddal and car acutually shake like a lil MUSCLE CAR!! and well the TEG has kinda disppointed me so FAR...(haven't been able to acutually test drive a GSR or 5th Gen Prelude base or SH)but I was kinda waiting for that TEG to SHAKE LIKE THE PRELUDE...so my point is...can anyone explain THIS??

GUYS i'm not B/Sing!!!!

Re: gsr vs SH

It's because the prelude has a bigger motor in it, more hp and tq. If you think that sound of vtec and shaking was crazy; you should ride in a civic with a h22a swap. The sound is a lot louder in one and the whole car vibrates from just turning over the motor.

Re: gsr vs SH

The preludes my and my friend raced were fast off the line but we came back and killed them towards the end. I guess I should say we were in a eagle talon boostin 36 lbs....ITS ALL GOOD.. no lie about the 36 ft lbs of boost. People say it cant be dont but there is living proof. He has been awarded the number one customer at auto zone the past couple of months because he is in there every day fixin it.

HAHAHA dumbest post ever! first of all you revved them up with out moving in PARK? as in automatic tranny? = no vtec. Now maybe I just read that wrong, but anyway if you weren'ty moving vtec will not engage.

VTEC does not just turn on and off at a certain rpm, it is dependant on a few variables,
1) Enigne speed: RPMs must be at or above the vtec activation point
2) Vehicle speed: you must be going forward at over 13 MPH
3) Engine coolant temp: You temp must be above 140 degrees F
4) Engine load this is judged my intake manifold negative pressure.

If all of these requirements are not met vtec will not turn on. so to sum that up yes you are BSing.
