P1320 warning light code on. Anyone know what this means?

I have a 2000 Infinity I30. My warning light is on and I took my car to Auto Zone. They hooked up their dianostice computer and it said P1320, Manufacturer Control Initition Sysem or Misfire.

Anyone have any idea what this means? I appreciate any responses. Also anyone know where I can get a service manual on my car for a cheap price?

sincerely,

Steve

Hey Steve,

I have a 1999 Nissan Maxima and had the same problem. I was too cheap to bring it in to the dealer because they wanted to charge me $125 just to scan the darn thing. Instead I bought a scanner from Kragen and scanned the thing myself. To make a short story long, I had several codes at 60,000 miles. I had a P1320, P300, P304, and I think it was a P325. The P300 and P304 are misfires. The P325 is a knock sensor code. I changed the spark plugs and got rid of the P325 code but still had the P1320 and P300. I finally tracked it down to a faulty ignition coil. You can test these by using a volt meter to test the resistance. To do this you should look it up in a Chilton type manual. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck.

Bert

What kind of scanner did you brought from Kragen? How much was it? Which brand?

My 95 maxima (120,000k) is having some problem now, rmp needle got stuck, funny oil leak under the driver seat (yes, interior oil leak?!)... Minor, but annoying little things.... Would a scanner help to find out what's happening?
