oil reset on 2003 explorer eddie bauer

I have a 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer. I am due for the 30000 mile maintenance, but I can't afford the $300 bill. I am capable of doing on my own, but I'm not sure about how to reset the oil on the message center. Anyone know how?

you should have an owners manual and it has step by step instructions. let the dealer do your fuel filter for $35 bucks.

Re: oil reset on 2003 explorer eddie bauer

ok, this is from memory. i just did an oil change today on my '02 EB and reset the "oil life".

hit the "SETUP" button until you see the SYSTEM CHECK promt. IIRC you hit RESET and it will scroll thru system checks. When you get to the OIL LIFE you hold down RESET and it will promt you again to hold or push RESET to reset it. Once that's done it so go back to 100% life.
