Carbon Fiber decaling help!!! Any experts out there???

I have started a new project, "Project Tuner Fish". It is a 1974 Plymouth Cuda that is being built from a mint unbuilt 1974 MPC annual. I have a Perry's Resin AAR Cuda hood that would be so cool in CF. Any tips or ideas on how to CF if? I have SMS CF decals. I'm sure that I would need to use multiple pieces because of the scoop. Here's a pic of the hood. BTW, this car is a 1971 MPC Cuda that is a stripped built up, not the one I'm building.

Thanks for your advice.

Marc

First off, nice car.

You shouldn't have any problems with one continuous sheet. The key to good results would be a lot of patience and a good setting/molding solution like MicroSol. To each their own on the solvent solution but they all do the same thing.

I suggest looking a Freakray's tutorial for a few ideas, like the way he made a template would probably work well for this project.

to cf tha hood make a template with some tamiya masking tape. Dont use a hair dryer on the hood to mold the decal because u will get too much bubles. Use microsol until u have the desired results.

Try a hot damp cloth or tissue pressed over decal to get it to conform, works better and faster than any solvent with no wrinkles.
