88 Ranger fuel problem
My 1988 Ranger ( 4 cyl) wont fire ! Ignition (spark) to plugs is good.
It appears I have no voltage to my fuel pump ( +12 volts from Battery direct to pump and it works). No voltage on plug to pump when ignition turned on ! Possible bad fuel pump relay ! Since I don't just want to throw parts at it until it runs, how can I check this out ? Are the EEC relay and it the same and will swapping them allow me to check the operation ? |

Re: 88 Ranger fuel problem
they are different. pull the relay and check power at the pins.the fuel relay is green.eec relay is black.if you bypass the relay with a paper clip and it starts, your diag is goooood.
