A few questions

I have a 95 si and want to get an amp and subs. A few questions. I dont want to go replacing alternators every month so what can I do to prevent this? Less watt rating or capacitors or what? Also what subs and amps would you reccomend? And list any sites with some good deals on them. I dont know much so any help please. Thanks.

Re: A few questions

i'm trying to get rid of my rockford system, i'm selling off my car too. It includes 1 1,000 watt single channel (bridgeable) amp going to a 12" HE2 sub. 1 capacitor, 1 4 channel 200 watt amp going to the component system up front and the 6 1/2"s in the back. Total costed me 2.5 grand when bought it 2 1/2 years ago. if interested e-mail me at [email protected] peace.

Re: A few questions

okay, here's some advice.

a capacitor is always a good idea if you have a very strong amp. So get one if you have like a 1,000 watt amp going to a 1,000 watt sub.
rockford makes good amps, I wouldn't reccommend their subs though. MTX also makes great amps and good subs. Polk audio, MTX, Boston acoustics, there are tons of quality products out there, pick up a car audio magazine they'll give you a decent idea of what you should be looking for. Also when you go to buy E-bay has some pretty good deals, check them out first.

I second the ebay and capacitor idea. Rockford is and MTX is over rated. JL, Alpine, polk, boston, MB Quart are a few good brands
