whats best for the gsr...

its a 1995 gsr im looking at buying its mods are :
DC sport headers
cat back exhaust
AEM cold air intake

Im not sure about the dc sports headers (ive heard mixed feelings about them)... and i have no clue what type of cat back, i know the cai is a good mod, but i've been talking to a friend whos an authorized sales rep for greddy and i was wondering if greddy headers would be better for the car.. if anyone has any dynos comparing that would be great...

also i planned to put a type R intake manifold/greddy manifold on it depending on the price, with a high flow cat.... pullies... cam gears.. and a short shifter on it for starters..

any suggestions?

Re: whats best for the gsr...

The only suggestion I have is don't get equipment because it's the most "affordable". Get a quality header, and a quality complete stainless cat. Don'y buy cheap or generic junk because you'll regret it. There ARE far better headers than DC out there, but you'll have to spend some money. The AEM or Injen CAI's are great. Do a forum search for catbacks and wade through all the bullshit. Everyone has a different opinion, but you should get a good idea of what's out there, looks, sound and quality. BTW, Greddy is good stuff...you should take advantage of that hook-up.

i plan to take advantage of the hook-up, and i dont want to go shitty for performance, thats why im asking about the dc headers because ive heard they are more of.. 'cheap' power and you can buy a lot better stuff for a little bit more money, and if i plan to do a swap on this *k20 or b18* then i can still have the i/h/e to keep with the swap, so im not going to mess with the internals at the moment.

ur planning on swapping an RSX motor in ur integra later down the line???? well it is possible, but only a handfull of people have done it. and u wont be able to use the intake, header and catback on the RSX k20a motor if u do the swap. u will need a totaly new custom setup because the motor is flipped 180 degress from the gsr's b18c1 motor.

im confused. r u thinking of swapping a K20a motor or a b18 into ur GSR????? you already have a good motor in that car and it's OBD1. u can make that motor really fast man. just mod the motor u have in the car now and dont think about a swap..... but the K20a2 will be sweet in a DC2 chassy

Re: whats best for the gsr...

I wouldn't put a greddy header in your car. The DC is better, and if you're going to replace it with something, replace it with a header with a 2.5" collector. I'm not sure that the ITR IM will fit on your b18c1, I'd just go with a Skunk2, it's the same basic design. I don't think Greddy makes IMs for our cars.

My honda may have less displacement than your coke bottle, but I'll race your coke bottle for $1000. Who says there's no replacement for displacement?
