Hey man, you're talk'n about that AE101 Racing engine, not an uber engine or whatever you called it. I heard that you do get the engine in options A,B,C. and you get a turbocharger for option D.

only a-c tune has the 101 engine and you get it at about 130,000 pts thats when your done w/ basic tune. but in my opinion you shouldent start and 86 in ver 3 its gonna be really crappy unless you transfer over from ver 2. go w/ and rx8 or evoIV/V.

Re: v3 trueno newbie

wrong, option a, b, c have the 101 engine at 120k. the d option gets turbo. and projectphantom, who cares? its fun to drive. its nice seeing a car other than evo's and rx8's.

rumor says the d tune is best for fast track cars. a,b,c is good cuz its na and it exits hairpins faster. i personally like the 86m. 86t is too wierd.

Re: v3 trueno newbie

Its true. The d option very much is. Theres times the 86 w/ AE-101 11k engine cant reach during the race. Same with the 86 Levin. During the S-curve section, the Levin kills the 86 Trueno. But, the Trueno kills at the Hairpins, the most important part of the course.

Re: v3 trueno newbie

the 101 engine is just like the capp engine, its great on courses that require a high-top speed. thus it'd be better than turbo on myogi and usui. it actually exits the hairpins slower than a lot of cars but its 4th gear acceleration makes up for that. so it really DOESN'T exit the turn faster, just like in version 2, its all about its 4th gear for the trueno. for the hairpins, other cars can take them too... thus taking the advantage away from the trueno with cars that have a faster start up. just my opinion on it though.

Re: v3 trueno newbie

haha bull you know what the capp has? High RPM's lets say, and this i just saying nothing true about this. But lets say my car can push 18000 rpms? Well lets say theres only about 120 ps behind that? It'll jump up to speed quick but what will its powerband do? Jack...It exits slower..but accelerates faster at the exit? but it isnt exiting the turn faster? You just made your statement and proved yourself wrong. Exiting speed is cuz of acceleration. Dude turbo lags and because of that at the exit its slower! The high rpms kick up the acceleration and bam higher exit speeds. Kid get off these. And my silvia can take a corner at 4th gear but i shit to fifth on the downhill at like 135 i shit i shift to fifth on da downhill with my 86 at 145 eat some shiznit and die

Re: v3 trueno newbie

no, you miss-understood my statement. capp's fourth gear acceleration, like the trueno is what makes it so powerful. its not its actual turning ability or exit speed it is its fourth GEAR. its the same for version 2, it takes the turns a LOT slower than the capp and the dc2 but what makes up for this making it being able to achieve a 2'49? its fourth gear. don't believe me, go get the trueno video of it and compared it to MSK's 49 dc2 video.
