www.ikesound.com, www.thezeb.com, www.woofersetc.com

what kind of budget are we talking here? And do you need just an amp and subs, or a wiring kit and a box and everything too?

Re: Audio Suggestions

I can spend whatever I want but im not gonna go to high. My car is already wired for an amp and everything so I should be good to go and my buddy makes boxes so hes gonna make one for whatever I get. Basically just need amp and subs. Thanks for the sites. I do have one question though. I still dont understand the capacitor thing. Everyone says its necessary for hondas with over 1000 watt amp, but why? What does it do and what do I look for when buying one? Anyone can explain what a capacitor does and why I need one help me out. Thanks.

Re: Audio Suggestions

I don't have a cap in my car and ive been told by a few people that they are usless. If you want to run more power id rather go with a bigger alternator.

For an amp you can go with the brutus by hifonics. http://www.maxxsonics.com/hifonics/index2.html

You can also go with the stuff they have at elemental designs. They make high quality stuff at a great price.

JL audio is also another great option even though their stuff costs a lot

Also the subs made by adire audio are kick ass, even though their website isnt the greatest.

Also you can go with Resonant Engineering for a sub...the xxx especially is amazing. http://www.respl.com/

Re: Audio Suggestions

I also recommend the Brutus, I'll be using a 1000D soon here along with two Alpine Type R subs. eD is going to can their flat piston design with the A and K series I believe, but that is why they have such great SQ so I would try to cop one of those before they undergo the design change.

Re: Audio Suggestions

Theres really no need for a Cap...
If ur not going all out on a system them u dont need 1...
I would suggest Upgrade'n ur stock alternator for a bigger 1 and look into get a deep cycle battery(optima)...
A cap is basically a battery(a really small one)...
Or even get a seperate battery for you system...

In my other car I'm runnig close 2000W without a cap and it runs great...
