Is it ever to hot to paint ?

Guys and gals is it ever to hot to paint. Yesterday in the Chi (Chicago) it was 90 + degrees. I went outside in the shade to use some paint that I have used before and got good results but had half a can left. When I sprayed the paint went on all bubblely. What the heck is all that about. This is the first time I have painted in extremely hot humid weather. Does the 90° heat have any effect on spray paints from Modelmasters? My second question is can I use brake fluid to remove that crap as well as the other paint? Thanks in advance for you help on this matter. Sorry for being long winded.

i believe the humidity was the reason for the bubbles.

tho im not sure, the cans of paint always say to paint at room temperature, but ive seriously gotten by best results outside around 20-30 degrees Farenhite

of all else fails, lay down some newspaper on your dining room table, and paint in there, if u can have a window open, when youre done painting, leave the room, or get a fan and point it towards a window or door thats open, that should work well, as long as youre parents arent around

its the humidity that affects your paint job, if possible place a dehumidifier in your garage or wherever you paint.and let it run for a few hours before you start painting.

and yes brake fluid will remove all the paint

Thanks guys, off to the autozone for brake fluid. How should I spend normally on brake fluid. Do I need to get the expensive stuff or will any brake fluid do?

Any brake fluid will do.

It was also Fº 90+ yesterday and my paint was fine. It was definitely the humidity that affected your paint. I only paint when humidity is below 70%.

i paint in all tons of weather, but get the best results when the sun is shining and its hot outside...

I tried the brake fluid and most of the paint came seamlessly off but on other sections it still hasn't come off yet. Maybe it is because I tried to rub it off in those sections before the paint dried. Either way I am going to let it soak for a few more hours and see what happens this afternoon.

Welp, I repainted this weekend and it came out great, but then I tried to clear coat it with model master clear and guess what, it ate the painters touch paint up. Turned it into wrinkles all over. PLease tell me that brake fluid will take off clear coated paint. arrrrrrrrgh this model is a pain in the ass.

brake fluid should take off everything...if it doesnt, then castrol super clean.

don't stress. chances are 3rd time will be a charm.

I paint outside in the FL heat (always in the 90's w/ like 1701% humidity) and the humidity definately makes it harder to paint.

neverstikes, it was 90 that day with the humidity making it feel like 98. I was sweating just walking to get the mail.
