Completed: McLaren LM

Well after riding in one of these, I knew it would be my next drawing. It took me around 10-12 hours, mainly because I'm a slow drawer. Its completely freehand. Any comments good and bad are welcome.

You've rode in one of those? You're lucky to have been in one, only 5 were built.

The drawing looks great, nice smooth shading.

Thanks for the compliments. I know that the bottom lip is alittle wierd, I finished the drawing at 2:30 in the morning and that was the last thing I did. I'll go over it again.
I keep the reflections so clean by just cleaning them all up once I was done drawing. I have the Tuff Stuff eraser http://www.dickblick.com/zz215/35/pr...m=0&ig_id=4368 which really helps you get nice clean lines.

Yeah I was lucky to get a ride in one of these. I talked to the owner on this site and then met up with him.

frame it. love it.

it has petty flaws here and there, but those work. you have done a great thing.

Re: Completed: McLaren LM

great drawing sccrplyr!

I like the reflections and the smooth shading. I don't really have any crit, except what secretmodder mentioned.... and i can't believe you actually got a ride in one of these.

What are you using to shade?

I just used a mechanical pencil and shaded it with medium sized stumps for the larger areas and I used small tortillions for the detailed shadings. It was my first time using the tortillions and they helped out alot.

Awesome drawing. When I saw this, it made want to go to ebay and pick up a 1:18 scale model.

Re: Completed: McLaren LM

That's really incredable, it's sooooo smooth. It makes me wanna just reach out and smudge it . It's just too perfect . It's a shame the bottem lip isn't 100% like the rest of the car .

Keep it up!
