Need help with brake replacement please!

I'm trying to replace the front and rear brake pads on my '97 Maxima. On the rear driver's side, I could not push the piston back far enough to fit over the new and thicker pads. I tried for an hour but I can't push it all the way back; about a 1/4" still sticks out. I've loosened the bolt where the brake fluid escapes and already pushed out all of the brake fluid but the piston is still stuck. What am I doing wrong? Please help 'cause I'm out of a car until I can get the brakes back on. Thanks.

Re: Need help with brake replacement please!

Nevermind. Turns out the piston has to be rotated back in, not pushed. Everything is in now. Thanks.
