I have a 98 cavalier and it is missing and shakes when I take off. I went to check the plugs and can't seem to find them. Can anyone help?

thanks

Re: spark plug help

I dont know about the 98 but the 2000's are under the ignition coil housing found under that big piece of metal that says 2.4 L There should be 4 bolts and a plug on the right side that you disconnect. Underneath it you will find the plugs.

Thanks, That's what i thought but when I took the bolts off and went to take the cover off It was tight and was afraid to pull too hard, thought I might break something.

The resistance you feel is the boots holding on to the plugs. Take the bolts completely off then pull the cover off. When putting them back I found it easier to put the boots on the plugs and then alligning the cover on top of them.
