Talking Stupid $h!+ by yours truly

On a single set of rails two trains simultaniously depart from Los Angeles and New York on a collision course. Both are travelling at 100 mph. Which train will be the first to arrive at the point of collision?

Re: Stupid $h!+ by yours truly

Which train will be the first to arrive at the point of collision?

The answer is Niether - the United States railroads can't allow such fast running continuously from coast to coast, because the trains would derail. They would never collide - besides I don't even think the USA has a 100+ mph passenger train service anyway...

I beg to differ.
If it's Amtrack both would derail and flop over long before the collision point.

So how exactly do you beg to differ?
