Cost of importing a Vehicle?

Theres this $3600 EG2 Civic that i'm interested in importing for my brother.
Cost of Vehicle: $3600
Cost of Shipping: $900 (stated on website-shipped to Auckland port)

Now what i would like to know what the process is? Once it arrives in auckland, do i just pick it up or what..etc?
How much tax(GST duty?) will i have to pay?
$300 on-road cost? i think

Can one of you law experts give an estimate of what the total cost at the end will be?
Cheers !

You have to pay 12.5% GST on the value of the vehicle, that is the purchase price plus the cost of freight.

Youve got to put it through compliance as well, im not sure how much this cost but its gonna be at least sever hundred.

It takes around 5 weeks for a car to get from Japan to NZ so as long as you dont much around youd be able to do it
