Re: Looking to buy

I'm drivin it all day today, take it back tomorrow after work...love the car, but not sure what insurance is gonna do. So there's really no bugs in it, nothing I really have to worry about?

Dang I can't believe how much y'all pay for insurance. I know I am older than y'all and live in AL, but me and my wife (42 and 49) only pay $57.50 a month for a 2002 ZTS.

The 11,500 is a great buy for an '04 with that kind of mileage. At my dealership, we'll buy those for 13,000 from the auction. They retail for 18-19 grand here.

I'm a salesman for Ford. You never get ripped off from a car salesman. If he showed you the value in the car, then he did his job, he didn't screw you. He showed you why the car was priced that way, and showed you why it was worth that much money. If you didn't agree with what he had showed you on the car then you wouldn't have paid what you paid correct? We're not dirty crooks (not all of us anyways). We do our jobs, and if you feel badly because you've forgotten the value in your car that caused you to pay that much more than the other cars you could've had for cheaper, that's not the salesman's fault it's your own.

Sorry, i had to rant on that. Anyways, no issues with that Focus other than wear and tear, you'll be good to go!

On the insurance issue, i'm a 21 year old white male with 1 speeding ticket (97 in a 50 zone.. was street racing when i was a little younger and a little more foolish about it) from 2 years ago. Other then that, i have a perfect driving record for the past 5 years and for the car shown in the sig i pay $2000 a year basic insurance coverage (fire, theft, vandalism, 3rd party liabilty). Let's face it guys, until we get married and/or turn 25 years old, they gouge the hell outta us.

How is it that you guys pay less then 2000 a year for insurance?!?! Im 19 white male and with not one ticket i pay 2,400 a year.. Just liabilty. Im on my own plan so im just assuming most of you are under your parents or family??? But i am also interested in buying a ZX3 in the very near future. My cars falling apart and the repair bills exceed the value at this point..

Re: Looking to buy

Retail at 18-19k for an 04SE? I wouldnt think so my 04 ZTS fully loaded with every possible option was retail at about 18k the SE should be less than that maybe 15-16k I would think.
