93 V8 GC BD Coolant Sensor

I'm hoping someone can help me here. I have a 93 V8 Laredo in really good condition but the computer has started registering that the coolant sensor is bad. Stupid question here, but how bad is this?

Also how much do these things costs to fix. I just spent a few thousand on repairs and am a little wary...

Thanks!

You are in luck, a coolant sensor is not hard at all. not sure on the cost but it is not too bad. Since you have a 318, Drain some of the coolant from the radiator, if you look at where the top radiator hose goes, I.E. Thermostat housing, on the right of it is a sensor, just undo the electrical connector, unscrew the old sensor, install new sensor and add some coolant, thats about it. NOTE: I would suggest putting some teflon tape around the threads of the new sensor to prevent leakage if the new does not already have some on it. Hope this helps

Cool - Thanks! After all that money I just shelled out I couldn't believe something else was wrong.

Thanks again!
