Vote Maxima or Altima

OVERALL what do you like, considering Tranny, Engine power, look, handling, style and feel =)

I like the looks of the exterior on the new Altima

and some things inside of it like the gauges, the

ignition on the dash, thats about it though, I think

the Maxima is more luxury, and more quiet, and

rides better, When I get a new one Ill probably go

with the Maxima, but Im not sure yet.:flash:

take the maxima. the current maxima is gonna be the last of its kind as we know it. nissan is moving the line upward and it'll get larger, about the size of the Q, more expensive and the aftermarket will most likely shrink, if it hasn't started to already.

and about that altezzas, i think nissan with the maxima and altima and ford with its lightning are a bit of the sheep following the lead of toyota. but it's not like toyota is known for their originality either.

SCC just did a comparo of these cars...the Alt put down 200HP at the wheels and the Max 218. Despite them having the same torque out put via Nissan specs (246lbs. of TQ) the dyno shows that the Max has more. But here comes the bad news for the Max...the Alt is faster and weights exactly the same(1 lb diff) and it is cheaper...tops 26K...tops for the Max 28K. There's even talk about getting rid of the Max cuz it seems like it has almost no place. The Max was moved up to compete w/the Avalon and other higher priced models like the Type S's. The Alt is doing battle and winning IMHO w/the Accords and Camrys now. Will the Max get the Ax...? Who knows...but I like the 6 spd LSD and 255HP!!! Just slap on the Stillen Supercharger and you got yourself a buyer.

The Maxima with the automatic is faster than the

automatic Altima 3.5 SE, so I think that the 6-speed

Maxima will be faster than the Altima 5-speed, but who

knows right now, there really hasnt been enough tests yet

on either car.

JBL, I was going to reply to you on the last two threads, but they

keep on getting closed by someone.. . I think its those people

getting all bent out of shape cause they dont have a nissan and they

know its better but dont want to admit it....Maybe this one will get closed

to.... . Dell I dont know when you sent that to me about

my double spacing, but if that really bothers you man, your kinda

weird, or just want to nit pick?
