02 shiftknob

how do i remove the shift knob on an 02 cavalier, im not sure because of the reverse lever and how i take it off and put a new one on.

gotta put a little elbow grease into it. just twist and pull. the reverse lever comes right off. you'll never have to lift up to put it in reverse again!

it doesn't come off... the only thing you can do is buy the B&M short shifter like I did it runs around $150. Its worth it. Let me know what you do

what!! it sure does come off! you have to pull a pin out from infront of the shift knob. you'll see a little slit in the rubber and in there there is a staple-like piece of metal. pull it out with a pointy nose pliers or something. then just twist and pull and the knob will come right off. i have an 02 cavy and that's how i got mine off. nothin to it once you get that staple out.

yea thanx i got it off without tools, i jus twisted and pulled, i got a nice shiftknob on now
