Well stock on Civics are 185/60x14" or 185/65x14" so you could go with 195/55x14" or 195/60x14" Going any bigger than that and you may "taco" the tires onto the wheel - which is bad.

I don't mean to but in on some one elses topic, but I have a similar question. I got a set of 95 GSR rims. I know that they come with stock 195's. But they have 205/50R15's on them. They don't appear to be "tacoed" but they are worn down on the inside. As if the car they were on was lowered too much with no camber kit. Or their alignment was off. Which brings me to believe that they didn't know what they were doing. So would the 205's be ok on those rims? I can post pics of them if you want to see them.

I guess I should have explained what 'taco' means. It means the tire is too large for the wheel that it's going on (width wise) and you have to fold the tire to get it on the wheel - which is bad cause there are steel belts on some tires.

You can put 205/50x15" on a 15x6", 15x6.5" wheel and 15x7" wheel. I think the GSR wheel is a 15x6.5" so you should be fine, you might want to get a second opinion on an alignment.
