Spark.........??????

hey... guy my car was giving poor idle at a stop light or poorly altogether.... it was like it was going to shut off........ my check engine light came on. i change my plugs, it was bad but thing is i change them 2 months ago. don't uderstand why they were so bad.... Plugs 2 and 3 had oil on them and 1 and 4 had no oil. Do anyone know why their oil on the spark plugs. the check engine light went away and the car drive better.

Probally the spark plug gaskets.

they had oil on the electrode side (where its sparks)??? if so then you have blow-by in your #2 + #3 cylinders meaning your piston rings are probably just about gone!


if they only have oil on the top of the spark plugs then its the spark plug sleeve gaskets that go in the valve cover...

the oil was on the part that you screw into the wells....
i don't know if it was on the part the get ignited..... but why was these plugs when so fast i only put it about two months ago........

The plugs did not go. You have to change the gasket that is under the valvecover.

Also when you do change them dont forget the most important thing silicone i changed them once and they leaked again because i didnt use silicone so dont forget to put silicone on the corners under the gasket valve cover.

If it does it again later its probably your ECU. It happened to me.

yo thanks guys..... do anyone knows if an extended warranty cover that.... the valve cover gasket. also do u guys think it's my headed gasket also. thnx

If the warranty is bumper to bumper then it should. Otherwise it is probally your spark plug gaskets. You can get a set of 4 sprak plug gaskets and a valve cover gasket at autozone in a package. Otherwise goto Mitsu and get it from them.
