Talking quick question

My sister bougth a 02 jetta 1.8t. I notice where the knob to control the temperature is not working (the whole row). The rest of her lights are working. Is there a DIY on how to remove the piece and replace the LED or is there other solution? I search this forum but can't find it. guess im search with wrong combo of words. Any help is appericated.

Re: quick question

The bulb fails all the time. It's located behind the center dial which pops off. It is available at independent auto stores (& VW).

Re: quick question

Only if you're still under the original bumper to bumper warranty, there is no extension for this common problem.
