Re: O2 sensor
since your accord is a 96 and im sure its getting up there milage -wise i would advise buying a new rear O2 sensor. honda says you should replace O2 sensors every 90,000 miles. when you put the free-er flowing cat on, the dirty o2 sensor wasnt able to read as well as it could with the stock cat, but thats just a guess...

Re: O2 sensor
seriously...just buy a new O2 sensor!
it will run you close to $90 for a universal one (which just requires a bit of extra wiring...nothing im sure that you couldnt tackle). sounds like a bit much but it should make your car run a bit better and improve gas milage...

yea dude, listen to these guys. u need an new O2 sensor. how can u say the O2 sensor is fine and then say that u are throwing an O2 sensor code. what is the code saying? low voltage? u need a new O2 sensor. i got a O2 sensor code on my integra with 82K miles and as soon as i replaced it and reseted the ECU, the code went away. no problems since then. i baught my universal O2 sensor for $60 i think. u will have to wire it up yourself which isnt hard to do at all.
and if u dont plan on doing alot of heavy engine work on your car like turbo/nitrous, u dont need the 02 simulator. just replace the O2 sensor

ok i will give it a shot allthough i really don't think that that is the problem. i've been told that the sensor is throwing the code because the cat is hollowed out and it's not doing it's job so the rear o2 is making my check engine light come on. thanks for your help

Re: O2 sensor
it is the problem, since you gutted your cat(highly illegal BTW) the 02 sensor is getting much different readings than what it was used too, buy urself a new o2 sensor and end the problem.
