Help with purchase of Sub and Speakers.

Alright, first I want to say sorry about being a bastard and being a stubborn ass last time I posted here, but anyway I need help in picking out a sub and some speakers.

Here is my situation. I have a Pioneer DEH-P7600MP head unit, but that is it. I need a suggestion on a subwoofer (Probably a 10" - 12'), an amp, and a box, plus what I will need to install it into my car, I don't want to spend anymore that $450 on the whole sub setup. My next situation that I need help with is a suggestion on some good speakers (a pair of 5.25", and a pair of 6x9') to be connected to my head unit, I don't want to run them through an amp. I don't want to spend anymore than $200 on the speakers. I hope that this is enough information, so that you guys can help me. I wan't something that will be good quality and not break, but I don't need something that is the best either. Just enough to make me very happy at loud volumes.

P.S. I'm not planning on getting all this right off, so if possible, don't tell me about limited sales, that will just depress me.

Re: Help with purchase of Sub and Speakers.

www.edesignaudio.com has amp sub combos for about 220 in the Kseries. Good sub. For a box, build it if you have the tools. For 5.25s get cdt comps from www.thezeb.com and get a profile ca400(I think). That will run you close to 200 for frontstage. You don't need rear fill. On the box, I could make one for you, but shipping would be murder, so it would cost you about 250 for the box alone... If you make one yourself, at most it will run you about 100 dollars. If you can find a prefab box made to the dimensions set on edesignaudio.com you can use it, but it isn't the best.

Re: Help with purchase of Sub and Speakers.

Like I said, I'm looking for a good sounding sub, and speaker setup, but I don't need it to be super loud. I don't want to use a amp to power the front and rear speakers, I'm just going to connect them directly to the head unit. I'm just planning on dragging a power cable from the battery to the amp, and the RCA cables from the head unit to the amp. I'll probably go with the CDTs as the speakers, but I'm really not very good at all on building boxes and things like that, so what do you think of the setup below.

Here is the Sub box combo that I was looking at.

And here is the amp that I'm probably going to get to go with it. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-jN0DhZi...p?I=500MRPM350

thats sub and box are way over priced, go with what haibane suggested, those sub/amp combo's are ED are the shit, well alot better than the kicker/alpine combo, and cheaper i believe, for speakers, the cdt comps would be fine, and i guess jsut whatever 6x9's fit the bill.....

Re: Help with purchase of Sub and Speakers.

Could you point me to a link for the sub/ amp combos, I find there site confusing. And where could I get a prefab box for them. Also, do I have to get component speakers or would just 2 or 3 ways be ok.

you don't have to get components, but they will sound better and you will be happier

I'm not even going to be putting 50 watts to the comps though. There just going to be connected to the HU

400 watts will be fine, you can always turn the volume down, i don't see why you won't amp your speakers, but i guess its your choice, anyway with 400 watts you know that you will always have the power if ya need it,

Re: Help with purchase of Sub and Speakers.

I would like to amp my speakers, but I'm not really sure how to run all the new wiring through the car. Plus I don't know if I'll have this car much longer. What would the average professional install cost to install a Sub and amp, and then an amp for the speakers and all the wiring?

Re: Help with purchase of Sub and Speakers.

Running comps from your headunit is a horrible idea. You can barely hear the music. Comps are less efficent than coaxs
