Post Re: need more power

I have a 2000 Z24 Cavalier, I blew the old stock engine so i have to buy a new one, the new engine I bought came stock with a 170 HP 24 valve 2.4l 4 cyl., Ive added new exhast, headers, intake , new pistons, and installed an air temp chip in my car, dont say the little mods dont work cause they do ive got my car up to 215 HP with just those mods, and i kill most of the cars on the road, just cause of the twin cam engine, if u want to take it a step further your could add a new pulley system, new cams and drive train upgrade. but i wouldn't go for the supercharger, i'd rather do the turbo, a 9lbs. turbo would do wonders and add a fogger nitrous system, add the boost timer and your set, nothing will touch, this car, ive seen a cav Z24 get close to 500 HP with those mods. There isnt that many mods out for the cav but the ones they do have are great, hope that helped.

Re: need more power

what a 4 cylinder with 24 valves? yeah right buddy i dont think so. What engine is this? I dont think you have a clue about what ur talking about. 24 valves on an I4 is just stupid. And how do you know you have 215HP? did you dyno it? if so i wanna see the charts. And a 500 HP Z24? lets get real here buddy, i know guys running more PSI than that and nitrious and their only pushing 300. You dont know what ur talking about. and no those mods wont help him, he doesnt push enough HP to gain more, all those mods work on percentages, the more stock HP you have the more you will get out of those mods, and since his stock HP is so low, he wont get anything from those. And what the hell are you talking about their isnt many mods for the cavalier? seriously dont post any more information helping people untill you learn just a little about cars.

Re: need more power
