Question intake question

sup guys first time postin here i have a 93 red gt. Next week im going to purchase a cold air intake. The only thing i have really seen is the K&N cold air or the Injen short ram. What do u guys think i should do? Get the cold air or short ram and if so which brand should i go for. Thx a lot (car is base model so no turbo stuff is goin to work)

Re: intake question

Id go with the cheaper short ram intake if your looking for just a basic intake. If it's an N/A car, the cold intake wouldnt do too much

Re: intake question

i live in Delaware pretty hot round here right now so hopin the cold air will give some better performance and also should it make it sound a little louder? I already have 2 Power 1 exhausts on it. Thx

Re: intake question

i don't think the sound will be any diff but if you live in a hot area then the colder the air(even if it isn't a lot) the better

Re: intake question

The sound will be a bit more noticeable, but nothing compared to a BOV!!! Id still say go with the short ram....no reason to go with an intake twice as much when the power difference is hardly noticeable

Re: intake question

Whoa, I never knew Injen made intakes for our cars. Italian Lunaticz, when you're really ready to buy, make sure you call the people and know exactly what you're getting because sometimes they might not have everything that's in the picture. Because I was looking at some K&N's a while back and they had both the pipe and filter displayed but when I called them, they're like the pipe's not included. So yeah, just a heads up...

Injen is a very reputable company, if that thing actually fits our cars I might just get one. looks real nice! wonder what the dyno results would look like compared to the 3sx intake pipe.
