I see in the story that they were checking her welfare - I guess someone found out what kind of car she was driving.
"If she can afford that she doesn't need welfare."  I wonder if she had Autobahn - probably not, otherwise she would have been going faster.

Bridge jumper
I know how she felt, until I traded my aurora off, I want to drive high speed to the top of a bridge. But I would have thrown the car off instead of me.
