Re: Temps On Stock Temp guage??
Ok heres the deal i need to know where 200 is because i live in texas and i thinkthe 90 something degreee weather is greating to my car ( atleast i hope) because when drive fast on a highways my car tends to run aboutmidway or a little lower on the temp guage but going slow say 30 milesper hour my car tends to go up 3/4 on the temp guage which that is a big jump just for going slower... i was wondering if anyone else sees this on their car...

Re: Temps On Stock Temp guage??
Maybe it goes up because when you're driving slower, there's less air running into your engine so it's hotter? Hehe I'm not sure but on my mom's Corolla, the temp gauge was about to peak when we went into the freeway and while we were speeding up, it started to fall so I'm assuming yours is doing the same thing. But I think there was something wrong and we eventually had to get it fixed.

make sure that your radiator fans come on when you are sitting at idle, with no air flow moving through the radiator, your car will overheat if your not moving, thats why the fans come on to draw air in through the radiator and cool things off
