Hey guys,
Here's the deal. In my '96 Max GLE, the BOSE radio display doesn't light up, so I can't see the radio station, volume, track no., etc, etc. The weird thing is, the radio still plays music and pressing the CD button switches to CD, and it is full functional, but I can't see anything! If any of you have had this problem or know how to fix it, I'd appreciate the help. I think it may just be switching the fuse out though. Oh, well. Thanks. |

Re: Bose Radio Illumination
It has something to do with a resistor. When maxima.org comes up again will post the web site on how to fixing it.

i had something like that happen to me...i have a 95 gle, and for the past two summers (not this one for some reason)...whenever it was really hot the lcd screen would fade in and out. i figured it had something to do with extreme temperatures. its not happening anymore though, who knows what the deal is.
look at it this way...would u rather have the speakers not work, but still have the lcd screen? its much better to still have the system work, even though u cant see the LCD.....stay up. |

you have a very good point there, but i would rather have my radio in full working order. I guess this is a somewhat common problem and i judt want to know if anyone else has had this and fixed this problem. if so, let me know, thanks!!
