Triumph Daytona 600

I am wondering how is it compared to the Japanese Big Four middleweights? Has anyone took it for a test drive? And how are Triumphs in terms of reliability/durability? Thanks.

Re: Triumph Daytona 600

If you like oil spills and gas tank valve recalls, they're a great bike!

They have HORRID service in the U.S. and dealers are hard to find. Oh, and expect parts to cost a bit more, too.

lol. So much for British finesse.

Btw, speaking of European bikes, they used MV Agusta F4 SPR in "I, Robot," to indicate vintage bike of the "future;" if you haven't seen the movie yet that is. I.E. the same bike as my signature.

The daytona 600 is a step behind the other 600cc sport bike class bikes, like the gsx-600, zx-6, and R6, but suprisingly it will still keep up with them. One of my peers from school came riding with a few of my friends and I the other day and he had no trouble staying with us. The power band might be a little softer, but at least the looks are great. Seems pretty durable too, I think those Britts used all the metal that were meant to be braces on motorbikes instead.

Re: Triumph Daytona 600

When the bikes run, sure, they're different and stylish and... man, the TT600 can sound SWEET with an exhaust. BUT, I know in PA there is only ONE place that has even CLOSE to reasonable service, and it's out in BFE.

It is hard to find mechanics who specilize in Triumph repair, but they really aren't too different from other bikes, you could just learn how to repair/modify your own bikes! Take the classes and get your Journeymans motorcycle repair licence, or just download some manuals off the net. Having mechanic knowledge is a great skill to have, it goes along way when your vechicle stops running in the middle of no where!
