TSI insurance

i am seriously considering to purchase a talon tsi and was just wondering how much you guys pay for insurance a year with your tsi. most insurance companies wont even insure an 18 year old with a turbocharged car. i also live in upstate NY near buffalo...maybe somebody reading this also lives near me and can give a better idea as to what i'd have to pay. thanks!

Re: TSI insurance

Try going through a broker. Insurance is probably different from States and Canada but with my record (17, level 2 driving license and not even one year driving under my belt) it wold cost me around 500$/month for liability
Fucking insurances

wow....

I was looking at a tsi, i'm 16 years old and mine would only be 40 a month. It really depends on your family's driving record.

Edit: i have liability and theft

Re: TSI insurance

wow, $40 a month. that would be awesome. if i wanted to get insurance all by myself for a turbocharged car many people told me that an 18 yr old male can't even get it in new york, not sure how true that is. with my 94 mercury tracer i'd have to pay $100 a month if were all alone on the insurance and not on a parents. thanks to my valentine one i do have a perfect driving record...

some ways to lower it is put it on your parents insuance and title it in their name. I know your 18 and want your independance, but paying double, or maybe not being able to get the car insured at all might be worth it.

wow, 40 bucks, my insurance will be under my parents, they, well, lately have had a good driving record, sorta, my dad was a little "reckless" when he was younger, and my mom has had one accident and been pulled over, but my title will be under my dads name(i don't want this, but my dad is forcing it), and i have a good student discount. But then again, its a sports car without ABS or airbags, but howthe hell did you get 40 bucks a month??

My dad has a perfect record, so does my mom, and both my sisters. We have Geico. I hear they are pretty cheap. I guess the rates on sporty cars are lower around where i live cause nothing is stolen around here. And good student discount.

Once your 18 you can take a course that lowers your insuance cost. At least here in MD

how the hell, i just got my insurance info all filled out for my 1991 Talon ESI, yeah, a non-turbo, and it's $508/6 months. I have GSD, and all of my families insuranc eis with the same company(all-state). I'm 16, and my parents don't have the best record(my dad likes to have fun with his cars, and my mom just gets pulled over a lot).
