OBD0 to OBD1 conversion having problems.

Ok well I figured that a few of us here have done this so I might as well post it here. Ok My OBD1 conversion is having a problem passing smog it is way high in NOX thats it. All that the nationally known focker can say is it could be wiring and will not touch it cause he's a dick hole. So has anybody else had this problem here if so inlighten me on what I can do. NOX is at 2940 and legal is 764 max. Let me know please Im so confused dont know what to do but sell the focker inanother state that doesnt have smog -turbo of course.
Also this is a complete OBD0 to OBD1 not a conversion harness it is a full wiring from a 92-95 civic. staying with all the orignal gauges from 90 civic. hmmm from the http://www.thezcr.com/html/odbiconversion.php web site.

I had the same problem and just basically bolted on my factory cat. didnt loose any power at all and actually sailed thru the inspection retake!

Re: OBD0 to OBD1 conversion having problems.

however, at this time, my IACV was not working right and my vtec wasnt wired-up so I kept getting an o2 sensor fault code from the ecu even tho the o2 sensor was fine.

A new car? J/k Anyways a new cat doesn't mean its gonna help you pass all the time. I know this sounds stupid but if you put on TWO cats you'll definitely pass the smog. I would only do it if you have an extra cat back.

Re: OBD0 to OBD1 conversion having problems.

yea. but hes trying to pass his car in california and make the swap legal. they check for stuff like an extra cat and he would probably fail visual cause of it.
