Ford Taurus MTX SHO

heres one of my old projects. Its the robocop SHO, i got it as soon as it was issued, so its about a year old. It sat apart on my shelf for awhile, then i just threw on some torq thrusts (didnt fit the vehicle at all) just for a bit, then i decided to re do it.

As for the SHO, its the MTX Version (5 spped manual) has GAGT Style quad exhaust tips, with BBS wheels, STB and a CAI.

too bad my old SHO isnt around. it came out really nice, metalliac black paint with purple grim reaper decals and 95 GT Wheels.

heres an old pic. I lost the fan wheels (pic), and i lost the snowflake wheels..so...

btw, whats with these ad's?

The SHO was a fun car. I had a 1:1 '90 model, white w/tan leather. It was a beatiful LEMON of a car.

Fast, but was so riddled w/poorly engineered parts it wasn't funny. The Yamaha engine was amazing, too bad the rest of the car sucked so badly...clutch, brakes, shift linkage, radio/amplifier, sunroof, electrics, A/C/heat blend door, window mechanism, motor mounts, rust (in the south!), paint that oxidized/pitted badly...such a disappointment and made me totally regret selling my '88 Mustang 5.0 to get this heap of junk!

Your model looks good, I never finished one. I did do a '93 conversion, which I haven't bothered to finish yet.

That is a classic vehicle. I saw one this morning......weird huh. Either way the SHO was always a racer around my family and friends during its time. Great job.

You'll be happy to know they haven't changed much. The 97 Sable LS I drove, had an awesome fast engine (Duratec DOHC V6 with 200HP 200lb-ft of torque) but the car was a complete piece. I've since upgraded to an 84 Fiero SE I just LOVE, but needs a little more power

Re: Ford Taurus MTX SHO

95's best? Quality, maybe, i dont know, but as for everything else, the 1st gen 0wnz. (the one that has the taller head lights). Its the fastest, so i've heard and it looks hella good IMO. My friend has a 94-96 Taurus GL. He beat the fuck out of it, but it still runs.

The duratec 3.0 is a good engine, i got one in my Mazda, it feels like it has more torque then my 4.6.

My old neighobors had a black sable with the 24v DOHC variation, it looked nice, but the windshield wipers and alarm would just randomly go off. lol
