Smile How do you get your inside door panels off? 97 sebring coupe lxi

I was wondering if anybody knew how to get your inside door panels off the car so you could get to the speakers. I am replacing the two front speakers. I can get the panel un-hooked but then it seems like it doesn't want to come all the way off.

I would appreciate any input on this!

Thanks

I have a 95...should be same...

There is a screw behind the inside door handle lever, as well as the door handle (the depression where your fingers go when shutting from inside). Memory is sketchy, but also check bottom of door and front (up where the air duct gasket meets the door.

Once those are out, take a small putty knife or something thin and strong enough to slide behind door molding starting at the bottom and start popping door out.

Be careful not to force the door, as I once remove it too fast and broke my inside handle ($$$). It's a plastic part, but if you break it, you have to buy the whole assembly.

Good luck!!
