Tranny Problems?! and Low Trac Light-Please post here!!

Hey guys, I just got a 99' Alero, with a 3.4L V6..and I have had the same low trac light problem that everyone is describing. Is it really a major problem?? or somethin that I just have to live with!!

And also, when the guy I bought it from was fixing something, he accidentally broke the cruise control box/computer thats under the hood. Now sometimes when I go in reverse and switch to drive, the transmission slips, and then eventually, it will catch and be fine for the rest of the drive (mostly). It also does it sometime when I just have started the car and it is not totally warmed up, and it will like do it going around turns and slow speeds. But the kicker is, is that it doesn't do it all the time. So....
I was wondering if the cruise control computer is messing it up and giving the other computers a bad signal, or if I just need more tranny fluid, or a tranny fluid change!! Any info. will help!! Thank you!!

With that low track light issue, I would have the wheel speed sensors checked. They are a common weak point in the Aleros. The downside is that in order to replace the wheel speed sensor, you will need to replace the entire hub assembly where the faulty sensor is. I just had this done on my 02 but it was covered under warranty.

As for the cruise control / trans. issues, I wouldn't know what to tell you...sorry.
