possible fuel injection problem

I replaced the hood struts three days ago. Two days ago i went to start the car and it wouldn't start. The engine cranks, has spark, fuel pressure, and was running perfectly fine before this. When i spray starting fluid into the intake, it catches but there is not enough fuel for it turn over. It is possible that the injectors are not getting any voltage. Does anybody have any ideas?

Get your hands on a noid light and check to see if their firing. If i remember right these things have to crack at a certian speed in order for the computer to fire the injectors being that it doesnt whant to flood the engine when i knows it wont start. With that said check your battery connections and its condition usually a jumper box will start those cars though. And your sure that you have enough fuel pressure, not doubting u at all here just curiouse. make sure the fuel pump is running by listening to it. easy place to do that from is by removing the fuel cap and listening through thier.

replaced the fuel pump. Now have spec. pressure to the fuel rail. Again, good spark and engine cranking. Don't hear the fuel injectors pulsing though

Re: possible fuel injection problem

You might not be able to hear if no noid light u might be able to use a screwdriver a long one usually to use as a stethascope to listen to them. Are you sure the car is cranking over fast enough? as in enough battery voltage and that the starter is sound? Good luck.

Checked fuel injectors with a light and the screwdriver/stethoscope. hard to tell but the injectors are getting electricity. battery has 14 volts and starter is turning the engine. if i spray enough ether into the intake the engine starts to catch but does nto have enough fuel to run.

Did you get it fixed?

From reading the thread, I take it that you can hear the fuel pump run, and that fuel pressure is indeed normal.

If ALL the injectors aren't firing, I'd take a close look at the wiring harness, and see which wire is the ground wire. (The wire color that is common to all fuel injectors) Inspect for a disconnected or loose harness, and track that ground wire down to where it attaches to ground. You may have a bad ground.
