Si's are really good motors to modify. there not bad stock either. there also good engines to turbocharge. if i were in your position, i'd keep the si motor, build it, then boost it.

Re: engine build

you should keep your engine and tear it apart and build it up from scratch but if you're really wanting to get a different engine then get the j-spec engine for that year

Re: engine build

300 whp on an N/A H22 is gonna take A LOT of both time and $$$MONEY$$$. It also probably wouldn't be streetable if this is even possible. If you decide to keep your engine, check out Brady's H23a page http://members.tripod.com/~Pre_ludE/pmods.html. I'm trying to make the most out of my H23a and hopefully before school starts up again, I'll have Honda-performance.com cams, springs, and retainers with Skunk2 cam gears. My other mods are in my sig. Some other good sites with lots of information are www.Importreview.com and www.Importbuilders.com. Good luck whatever you choose.

Re: engine build

now that i think about it 300 hp is quite a bit. im used to building v8's. this will be my first 4 cyl. build. Im not going to use the engine in my prelude right now im planning on driving it untill the engine is complete. I plan on boring the block so i was just wondering what block to get and maybe what other suggestions you have on getting some hp out of the engine
