Question Inoperative Dome Light Delay?

I have the Impala 9c3 and I've installed a compustar paging alarm, but seem to run into a problem with the dome light. It doesn't go on when the car doors open so the alarm won't work because it needs the dome light to come on as the trigger.?

Does anyone know what they did to my Impala 9c3 ? If they just cut a wire to disable the dome light delay? and where it might be located?

Thanks guys.

Re: Inoperative Dome Light Delay?

What's a 9c3? What year is this? Make sure that the domelight shut off switch is not turned on. Is the dimmer switch turned all the way down???? My guess is that they shut off your domelights and hooked up the alarm the cheap easy way by attaching the trigger wire from the alarm to the domelights instead of the car's door triggers.

Sorry. I have a 2000 Impala Police Package. Refered to as the 9C3. And no the dimmer is not all the way down. And he couldn't connect the trigger to the dome light because it doens't go on at all. Unless I manually turn it on and it stays on which is pointless.
